Projects » ADM Footprint Reduction
|Project Value:||$1MM - $5MM|
Scope of Work: ERSI was contracted to provide decontamination and demolition services at various buildings at a former corn syrup manufacturing facility in Montezuma, NY. The scope of work included asbestos abatement, PCB decontamination, line draining, hazardous material remediation and structural demolition. ERSI was awarded the contract based upon its capability to self-perform all job site tasks utilizing cross-trained personnel. ERSI took the lead in coordinating hazardous materials surveys and ran concurrent crews to meet stringent schedule demands. The original ADM complex was comprised of several buildings totaling 500,000 sq ft. Some areas of the facility exceeded 100 feet in building height. Two of ERSI's Komatsu PC1250LC high reach excavators, and a Komatsu PC1100LC workhorse were pressed into service to hasten site transition. A total of 10,000 tons of ferrous and non-ferrous materials were recovered.
